Welcome back from the Easter break. I hope that it was an enjoyable and psotivie one for you. Whilst we now move to the final term of the academic year there is much to look forward to but we also recongise that it is a period of potential change and uncertainty with SATS exams and transition to High School for example. It is also a time of celebration with 50 year events taking place and trips and activcities to supplement a broad and balanced curriculum that we offer at St Egwin’s.
Collective Worship
This week we have been examining The Last Supper and talking about the challenges that we face with friendhsip and what we look for from others to support us. Pupils have been sharing their thoughts about what friendship means and what role we can play to support our friends along with what we want from those who we call friends. As ever there have been rich debates and really thoughtful opinions and ideas.

House and attendance update
I feel compelled to start with a massive well done to Turing who were crowned House Point champions for the week. They have come close on several occasions recently so to claim top spot with almost 600 House Points is fantastic!
Curie had a superb week with attendance and topped the Houses with over 96%. As always we really appreciate your support for maximising attendance so thank you.
Pupil achievements
Well done to Aurelia BM who was our superb Oracy Champion of the week.
Great work from Ella C (Year 6), Maisie S (Year 7) and Roux K (Year 8) who were our Star Bakers.
Kian B was our Artist of the week with a great but utterly terrifying gargoyle!
Well done to our Kezi B who was our overall House Point winner representing Curie.
Congratulations to House winners Quin G (Attenborough), Maisy C (Christie), Sofia L (Farah) and Jessica R (Turing).

Evesham Alternative Provision consultation
I have been campaigning with other school leaders in the local area for fair support for pupils through alternative provision. It is grossly unfair that other areas of Worcestershire have access for pupils needing additional intervention to assist them and pupils from Evesham do not.
I’m absolutely delighted that there is now a firm proposal for alternative provision which is out for consultation. I would appreciate any support from you by taking 30 seconds to fill in the short survey. Pupils from Evesham deserve the support!
Field opening
I have been really pleased with the way that pupils have shown respect, care and consideration with the opening of the field at lunchtime. It has been a great start so let’s maintain it.
School Improvement Partner visit
I spent much of today with Mr Potts, our School Improvement Advisor. He continues to offer the school great support and has been really impressed with what he sees from the school community. As always I am grateful for the part that we all play in making St Egwin’s the best place that it can be for all.
