Performing Arts

Passion for the Arts!

At St Egwin’s we recognise the importance that the Performing Arts has across so many areas of the development of pupil’s. We believe that The Arts engenders a sense of pride, teamwork and self confidence as well as developing social skills and teamwork. Working on such diverse and inspiring opportunities gives pupils further chances to embed our values of Love, Respect and Endeavour.

We are proud to offer such a wide range of opportunities in The Arts and are always seeking to add new and creative experiences for pupils, both in the curriculum and as part of our extra curricular offer. Some of the many varied opportunities we have offered include:

  • Our choir performing at half time in Championship Football Fixtures at West Bromwich Albion.
  • Incredible shows that take place at the Henrician Theatre, Evesham such as Mary Poppins, Into the Woods and Grease.
  • Remembrance concerts to raise funds for TroopAid.
  • Year 6 pantomime experience.
  • Performing at The Worcester Christmas Market.
  • Events to raise funds for local charities and Food Banks.
  • Concerts at local churches and The Evesham Abbey.
  • High quality peripatetic music lessons provided by Severn Arts Music.
  • Performing at The Three Counties Show in Malvern.

These are just some of many examples! We have a really strong pupil team involved in our amazing programme but we’re always keen and delighted to have more.

Beauty and The Beast Jr 2025

The cast of the school production, Beauty and The Beast Jr told a ‘Tale as old as time’ when they performed on Thursday evening. They invited the audience to ‘Be our Guest’ as they twirled and danced across the stage.

They entertained us with jokes galore, exciting sword fights and crazy castle antics. They rampaged through forests filled with wolves and at the end good overcame evil, when a magic spell was broken by true love. All in the space of two hours!

Thank you to all involved, including all the parents and carers of the cast, the audience members and the many members of staff that gave up their time to help.

On Tuesday, 1st April 2025, the Rock Choir and Rock Band treated us to a selection of songs from Oasis to System of a Down, Adele to Bon Jovi.
We enjoyed vocal solos from Dajana and Khaleesi and instrumental solos from Orion, Alivia and Niamh. Pupils from Years 6, 7 and 8 have been practising hard over the last few months and it was lovely to seen so many parents, carers and staff come along to listen and support the event.

Well done everyone.
