ParentPay
What's it for?
ParentPay is an online cashless payment system that allows parents and carers to pay for anything provided by the school using a debit/credit card or through PayPoint. For example, school trips, music tuition, and school meals.
How does it work?
When your child starts with us, the office will send you an activation letter which you can use to create an account with ParentPay. This account is linked to St Egwin’s School and your child, enabling you to access a list of payment items specific to your child, as well as an option to pay for their school meals. You can use the website or download the app for mobile devices.
If you have more than one child at school there is an option to add a child to your account, rather than have separate accounts. Another feature that may be useful for parents is the secondary payer option. For separated or blended families, ParentPay gives the option to set up secondary payer accounts. This allow pupils to have two or more payers, each with their own unique log-in. Both payers can see what has been paid for and what is still outstanding, without having access to each other’s personal information.
School meals payments
When you pay via ParentPay for school meals, the cashless till system will feed back to your account all purchases so that you can check that your child is eating sensibly. If your child has special dietary requirements or medical allergies to certain foods you must ensure that the medical information that the school holds is accurate and up-to-date. You can do this via Edulink. This information gets displayed at the till so the catering staff are fully aware of what your child can and cannot have.
