As part of the RE curriculum pupils visit All Saints Church in Evesham. This visit allows pupils to reflect on the rich history of religious practice in Evesham and to explore Christianity further. Often the visit is hosted by the local vicar, Reverend Spurr.
We aim to get pupils to a non-Christian place of worship in an attempt to broaden their horizons, improve their religious knowledge and understanding and promote tolerance and respect. Pupils are given the opportunity to take part in an RE trip to encounter a faith they may not be familiar with.
We visited the following places:
Guru Nanak Nishkam Sewak Jatha Gurdwara.
Shree Geeta Bhawan Mandir.
We visited the Islamic Experience Exhibition where pupils learned about:
Faith and History.
The 5 Pillars and the family.
Islam and Science.
Pupils took part in activities including writing their name in Arabic.
The School Prayer
This is our school,
Let Peace dwell here,
Let the room be full of contentment.
Let love abide here,
Love of one another,
Love of mankind,
Love of life itself,
And love of God.
Let us remember
That as many hands build a house,
So many hearts make our school.
